How to properly maintain graphite crucibles

After the immersion coating of antioxidant paint on the graphite crucible, the high-temperature graphite transition coating liquid can penetrate into the pores of the graphite crucible, expel the residual air inside the graphite crucible, and form a layer of pores and surface on the graphite crucible. Antioxidant protective film. It is precisely this protective film that can effectively isolate air from direct contact with graphite crucibles and cause oxidation reactions. The graphite crucible impregnated with an antioxidant coating will not crack or fall off during high temperature changes, effectively delaying the graphite crucible. The oxidation of the crucible prolongs the service life of graphite crucibles.

The antioxidant coating for graphite crucibles, water-based inorganic environmentally friendly coating, does not produce volatile substances at high temperatures and normal temperatures. The sealing coating itself is acid and alkali resistant and does not react with the quenching medium. It can effectively protect graphite crucibles from chemical reactions at high temperatures and prevent the high-temperature oxidation rate of graphite crucibles from reaching over 95%.

The maintenance of graphite crucibles includes the following points: the specification number of the crucible is the capacity of copper. Graphite crucibles are strictly prohibited from getting damp and must be stored in a dry place or on a wooden frame. When handling, handle with care and vibration is strictly prohibited. Before use, it is necessary to heat up with a drying equipment or furnace, gradually increasing the temperature to 500 ℃. The crucible should be placed below the furnace mouth to prevent wear on the furnace cover and the top of the crucible. When adding materials, it is necessary to consider the melting capacity of the crucible and not add too much or too tightly to prevent the crucible from shrinking. The stove and crucible clamp should match the shape of the crucible, and the middle of the clamp should prevent damage to the crucible under stress. When pulling out the slag and coke from the inner and outer walls of the crucible, gently tap to avoid damaging the crucible. A suitable distance should be maintained between the crucible and the furnace wall, and the crucible should be placed in the center of the furnace. The use of appropriate combustion aids and additives will reduce the service life of the crucible. During use, rotate the crucible once a week to extend its lifespan. Prevent strong corrosive flames from directly spraying onto the sides and bottom of the crucible.
