The main differences between high-purity graphite rods and ordinary graphite rods are as follows

Aug 11, 2024 Leave a message

1. Purity: The purity of high-purity graphite rods is significantly higher than that of ordinary graphite rods. The impurity content of high-purity graphite rods is extremely low, and the carbon content can usually reach 99.99% or even higher purity. High-purity graphite rods will have a mirror effect after polishing. The high-purity graphite crucibles we are familiar with are all made of high-quality high-purity graphite. The purity of ordinary graphite rods is relatively low, the particle size is obviously coarse, and the impurity content is high.

2. Performance: Due to the difference in purity, high-purity graphite rods have better physical and chemical properties. For example, it has better electrical and thermal conductivity, stronger high temperature resistance, and better corrosion resistance. Medium-thick graphite rods are generally used in industries such as stirring.

3. Application fields: High-purity graphite rods are often used in fields that require extremely high material purity and performance, such as semiconductor manufacturing, nuclear industry, aerospace and other high-tech industries. Ordinary graphite rods are more used in general industrial fields, such as metallurgy, casting, machining, etc.

4. Price: The production process of high-purity graphite rods is complex and the purity requirements are high, so the price is usually much more expensive than ordinary graphite rods.
