Graphite is very important in our lives now, and the appearance of graphite plates has brought great convenience to our lives. So, what preventive measures should we pay attention to when using graphite plates to extend their service life?
1. The greater the electrical flow applied to the graphite plate, the higher the surface temperature of the graphite plate. Minimum external load density (power) is recommended. Note that the value recorded at the cold end of the graphite plate is the current and voltage at 1000 ° C in the air, which is consistent with the practical application. Under normal circumstances, the surface power of the graphite plate is determined by the relationship between the temperature in the furnace and the surface temperature of the graphite plate. It is recommended to use the surface power of 1/2-1/3 of the ultimate density of the high-temperature graphite plate (W/cm2).
2. Graphite plates should be connected as parallel as possible. If the resistance value of the graphite plate is different, the load of the graphite plate with high resistance will be concentrated when the series is connected, resulting in a rapid increase in the resistance of the graphite plate and a shortened service life
3. After the graphite plate is heated in the air, a dense silicon oxide film is formed on the surface to form an antioxidant maintenance film and extend its life. In recent years, in order to avoid cracking of graphite plates, various coatings have been developed and used in furnaces of various gases.
4. The temperature dispersion characteristics of the graphite plate, the reflection specification of the new delivery is &Delta within the effective heating length; By considering only within 60 ° C, of course, the temperature dispersion will increase with aging, eventually reaching 200 ° C. Due to the differences in furnace atmosphere and application conditions, the detailed temperature dispersion transformation is also divided.
5. When continuing to use graphite plates, we hope to slowly add resistors to maintain a long service life.
6. The higher the operating temperature, the shorter the life of the graphite plate. Therefore, when the furnace temperature exceeds 1400 ° C, the oxidation rate will be accelerated and the life will be shortened. During use, it is important to avoid excessive temperature transition on the surface of the graphite plate.
